This paper details the methods used to develop cross-sectional survey weights for the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children's (LSAC) Child Health CheckPoint study. The CheckPoint team recommend using the survey weights in analyses targeting population descriptive quantities such as mean values, in order to make less biased population-based inferences.

Funding

The Child Health CheckPoint study was funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia (Project Grants 1041352, 1109355), The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation (2014-241), the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, The University of Melbourne, the National Heart Foundation of Australia (100660), Financial Markets Foundation for Children (2014-055, 2016-310) and the Victoria Deaf Education Institute. The urinary albumin and creatinine quantification was funded through NHMRC Program Grant 633003 Screening and Test Evaluation Program.
