The Generation Victoria (GenV) Cohort 2020s Statement of Intent is an outline of the entire GenV project. It outlines the intended project design, recruitment approach, data domains, risk, data & biosample management and operational details. Before state-wide recruitment, GenV will operate in select ‘test’ or Vanguard hospitals. More detailed protocols will be developed for these phases as addendums to this Statement of Intent. This is Version 2.1. The Statement of Intent was endorsed by the Human Research and Ethics Committee at the Royal Children’s Hospital in September 2019.

We would like to acknowledge the following people for their contributions (in alphabetical order): Katie Allen, Dino Asproloupos, Lynne Atley, David Burgner, Jim Buttery, John Carlin, Jeanie Cheong, Nigel Curtis, Sarah Davies, Ben Edwards, Lottie Gasparini, Harriet Hiscock, Catherine Law, Kathryn North, Anne-Louise Ponsonby, Joanne Said, Katrina Williams, and members of the GenV Focus Area and Method Cores working groups.
