Childhood and family adversities are associated with poor physical and mental health across the lifespan. When practitioners can recognise and respond to childhood adversity, the impacts on physical and mental health can be prevented or addressed early. Practitioners, however, have

identified a range of factors that prevent them from responding in an effectively and timely way.


This is the second Policy Brief from the Centre for Research Excellence in Childhood Adversity and Mental Health.
