Data Retention
Retention period: 7; Destruction plan: As per the protocol Version 1.0 under Data Sharing, see the following excerpt: Data and samples will be retained for ≥ 7 years at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute (recruiting site). When it is no longer of use for related research purposes it will be destroyed by shredding all paper documents and deleting all electronic records, in consultation with MCRI IT, with the exception of the final dataset. At patient request, their data can be removed from the platform at any time as long as the request is made prior to the final data analysis. Patients who participate in the platform will have their samples, clinical information and signed consent or consent narrative retained indefinitely. As the platform has public health value to Australia, we will keep the data indefinitely. Records will not be destroyed without the consent of the Principal Investigator. Note, this protocol is yet to be approved by RCH Ethics.
