Predicting health and developmental outcomes of high-risk infants using retrospective datasets

Posted on 2024-12-27 - 00:58 authored by MCRI REDCap ServiceAccount
This study is a retrospective extraction of predictor variables and outcomes from multiple existing ethically approved databases and the electronic medical record (EMR) of Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) and Royal Women's Hospital (RWH) to perform predictive modelling.
All data has already been collected (no additional data collection will occur during this study).
The objective of this study is to predict infants at highest risk of poor feeding, neurodevelopmental, motor, and respiratory outcomes so that targeted early intervention and surveillance programs can be provided to improve their long-term health and development, and to reduce the burden on healthcare networks.
